Hello to those 6 lovely people who have read some of my notes. Or maybe more people have and I just don't know it. I have some things to write about now! I suppose, what, it has been about a month since I last looked and/or wrote ANYTHING on here. I wonder if you guys will see this and/or read it and/or know? I wonder if other people see these things that I have written? Hmmm... What deep thoughts to ponder!!
All right, my first topic of conversation is about university. I will be going to the Master's College in Santa Clarita, California on the 18th of August. WHooo! Excitement is rushing in and through the air, I know it. Now, to leave home again is (actually) a welcomed thought. I NEVER thought that I would EVER say this, but it really is all right to live away from my family. (gasp! and eek gads!) I know, it's a shocking thought.
ANYWAYS...university...I never fully understood how EXPENSIVE the blooming institution is! Good grief! What do these administrators think we are?! Rich college students?! HAHA! Does anyone EVER refer to college students as being "rich"? I don't think so. College students are not rich before they enter university and they are not rich while they are attending university and they are NEVER rich after attending university... I must pause for breath here. I figure I will be paying off loans and fees until I am...about..dead. :0) HOPEFULLY and perhaps, I will meet some rich guy. :0) hehe No, I am just kidding! Have no fear!! I'll just work 2 day jobs and a night job for the rest of my life. :0) No, now I am-again- being rather ridiculous. Sorry, I will try and control myself, I am just so overwhelmed. ::sigh::
Perhaps I will try and apply for scholarships. Actually, I have been working on some essays for some scholarships. There is actually a scholarship being offered for $1500 if you write a children's book (150-250 typewritten pages). That would be nice. I have never written that many pages before though. Short stories, yes, I have written those...but WHEW! That book would be A LOT of writing. I don't think that I can double-space the writing either. :0| Ahh well, we shall see what comes about.
I did qualify for some grants though...that is nice. Hopefully I'll be able to get a job down there too. That would be WONDERFUL! But, I don't have a car. That could be a problem, but hey, I figure if I look at it from the angle that without a car I don't have to pay for petrol or insurance or car payments...YES!! I am saving a lot of money right there! :0)
So, I have been writing/talking a lot about money. Sorry. I hope that my complaining and panicing doesn't trouble many of you. I am just typing my thoughts out now. I like doing that. It can be a rather dangerous thing, but I like to do it just the same.
For those of you who have been to uni, are going to uni, or will be going to uni, do you have any suggestions for me or any tales to tell about your experiences there? DO TELL!
